Following the recent announcement for a full National Lockdown we still remain fully open for all emergency, essential and routine eyecare where capacity allows are where we feel it’s in the best interest of the patient.
The safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff is our top priority and our patient journey has been modified to ensure we can deliver eye-care in a safe and secure environment.
We operate a locked-door policy and patients can only attend with a pre booked appointment. The number of patients in the waiting area is limited and all contact surfaces, frames and equipment are carefully cleaned between each patient.
You will be asked to sanitise your hands on arrival at the practice and before trying on frames. Everyone must wear a mask and respect our social distancing measures.
Our Optometrists wear full PPE and will keep their distance during your eye examination for both history and symptoms and for your refraction check using our phoropter where possible. All Optomaps are taken by our optometrists to reduce the number of staff you have close contact with.
We are avoiding hand held instruments where possible and recommend the Optomap scan for all patients. The OCT is available to everyone who should require this at present at no extra cost. Visual field testing will only be done if the Optometrist feels it’s necessary.
We will be sending out reminders but do give us a call so that we can discuss your needs in more detail and book you in if required.
